June 16 Moral Regeneration March was a collaboration of three associations namely, Southern Africa Indian-Ocean Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church (SID), Maranatha Soul Seekers Ministry (MSS) and Seventh - day Adventist Students Association. From SID, two departments are actively involved i.e. Secretariat Office as well as Youth Department.
On this grand day, approximately 1000 young people marched down through the streets of Tshwane, from Gauteng, North-West and Mpumalanga.
With a rising sense of immorality in the society, promiscuity among the young people leading to uncontrollable prevalence of HIV, 50% of marriages ending in court, alcohol and substance abuse, this is a call for concern.
Purpose
Through “June 16 Moral Regeneration March” our aim as the youth of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Tshwane, was to address the socio-spiritual concerns and challenges affecting our people through professing our faith and proclaiming the truths found in God’s Word.
Among other dignitaries who attended, we were joined by the three General Conference Youth Directors, Ps. Gilbert Cangy, his associate and the Pathfinder Director. Alongside, we also had all youth directors from the 10 Unions in the Southern Africa Indian-Ocean Division - SID being part of this high profiled gathering. The presence of the Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane was a cherry on top. Please view some of the pictures below.
Stay blessed!
